Electronic Bankruptcy
Noticing:
Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing, or EBN, refers to a group of electronic
services available from the Bankruptcy noticing Center that federal
courts can use to send bankruptcy notices to attorneys, creditors,
and trustees.
The Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine offers two additional
methods for recipients to receive notices: Internet e-mail and Fax.
Internet e-mail noticing is intended for recipients who want the
speed and convenience of receiving notices on-line. Fax noticing
is intended for recipients who do not want to set up Internet e-mail
accounts but who want to eliminate slower noticing by U.S. mail.
Click on the links below to view details on the e-mail or fax noticing
requirements. These documents are in PDF format.

National Creditor Registration Service:
A new web site, which will become available on October 17, will provide creditors information about the expanded service (http://www.ncrsuscourts.com). Creditors will be able to create and print notifications of oreferred address through the web site, similar to the automated EBN agreement functionality on the EBN program web site.

Notice of Preferred Address:
To Notify the Clerk's Office of your preferred address pursuant to 11 U.S.C. §342(e) use this form.

Unclaimed Funds Information:
Unclaimed funds are funds held by the court for an owner or recipient
who is entitled to the money, but who has failed to claim ownership
of it. Unclaimed funds may arise out of a variety of circumstances.
For example, delivery of a payment may not be possible because of
faulty or incomplete address information for the recipient or dividend
checks from bankruptcy cases may not be cashed. The U.S. Courts,
as custodians of these funds, have established policies and procedures
for holding, safeguarding, and accounting for these funds.
Review the Unclaimed Funds Ledger to see if you are due to receive
any funds from this court. If you are due unclaimed funds, please
follow the Requirements for Claiming Funds using the Application
for Unclaimed Funds and the Sample Order Authorizing Payment of
Unclaimed Funds. If you have any questions about unclaimed funds,
please contact the court financial specialist at (207) 780-3482
ext. 241. Click on the links below to view the documents in PDF
